Have you ever been at a point where you wanted to just give it up? It might be at the office, a relationship, a project. What do you normally do?
Some days just giving up sounds easier. It feel like surrendering to work; or to that not-so easy relationship; or tough project makes more sense and safe. It may feel better temporarily to just stay stagnant and keep going through the motions. Think about this...what if you pushed harder and though that obstacle and moved beyond your normal pattern? What if when it got tough you took that defeated emotion and gave it power? So much power that you turned work, the relationship or that project into something even better.
This is also true for yoga. At times feeling like you want to give up when you can't balance in a pose or when one side is harder than the other and you feel defeated. If you give up, surrender, you will never know what is possible. However, if you add power and push through, trying even harder you may come closer to balancing in the pose you thought was impossible.
Turn the phrase Just Give It Up into JUST GIVE IT POWER and notice how your situation changes.
