One passion is to help women in fashion shopping as a stylist. I've been in and out of this profession as my "fun job" for over 10 years now and what I discovered was from that experience as a stylist I loved the instant gratification I received when someone purchased an outfit for an occasion, or just because they wanted to shop. Shopping made them feel good and in turn made me feel great! Win-win - because of course the retail hourly compensation was not much and it honestly just fed my own shopping addiction through amazing discounts and other fun perks. It was never my sole paycheck.
My second passion is to help everyone feel great in a yoga experience. This self-passion that I had for the last 15 years recently turned into an amazing budding career full of fulfillment, energy and meeting amazing people. The win for me here is that at the end of class I can see the relaxation on someone's face, notice when she touches her toes for the first time, or even nails that challenging pose. That feeds back to me as making others feel happy. Again that instant gratification. Ah-ha, here is the pattern!
So what if I won the lottery? Would I still need to teach yoga in my life or crave to be a fashion stylist to women of all ages? I indeed would! The skill I have to "give" to others and receive back that instant gratification is very fulfilling. Perhaps Frued would have something to say about this, but for now, I am just going to say that when I hit the lottery and travel all around the world, I will also be spreading yoga and fashion in some way or another. Watch out world! Here I come hitting the lottery full force!
Would you quit your career if you won the lottery?
